Obituary of Mary Thelma Wooldridge

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Thelma Mary Wooldridge (Dalton), beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at the PEI Atlantic Baptist Home, Charlottetown.

Thelma was born on June 30, 1936 in Fort Augustus PEI, and was the loving mother of Larry (Lois) and Valerie Ostridge (Brady) and dear grandmother of Vicki, Adam, Curtis and Evan. She was predeceased by her husband Leith and grandson Thomas. 

Thelma was a dedicated school teacher for over 37 years, and was passionate about education and helping others. She was an avid reader, lover of books, enjoyed crossword puzzles and a good game of crib.  Thelma was a kind and generous soul, always putting others before herself. 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford from where visiting hours will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023 5-7 pm.  By personal request, no funeral service will be held. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made online to the Alzheimer’s Society of PEI.

Thelma will be remembered for her kind heart, her passion for education, and her love of books. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
