All these many years later, how surreal that she ended up being my aunt Mary’s roommate at Atlantic Baptist. She was one beautiful, classy lady. I offer to you,,her family, my sincere sympathy on Thelma's recent passing. My early memories of her was our time together at Notre Dame Academy as students and as boarders. She was a bright light in our midst--both as a student and a social being. After many years we met again at Andrews Ch'town and knew each other right away. I am glad I had that opportunity. Aunt Thelma, you are being met with many outstretched arms right now. Rita & Pauline are baking biscuits, my Mom making coffee & some of the guys into something stronger. I bet there is a good chin-wag about to begin. I can already hear all of you laughing. Everyone was waiting for their last girl to get there before the party could begin. So sad to hear about Thelma’s passing. Our sympathy to Larry & Lois, Val & Brady & all the family! Thelma, known to her students in Fort Augustus Consolidated as “Mrs Wooldridge” was my Grade 4 & Grade 5 teacher. She was an excellent teacher and I always felt lucky to have her for both these grades! I will never forget how dressy she was with her plaid skirts, mock neck sweaters and high heels! Rest in peace.
