Obituary of Lorraine Camilla Morrison

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorraine Camilla Morrison, born April 18, 1934 in Charlottetown, PEI. Lorraine passed away peacefully on July 22, 2023 at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottetown.

Lorraine was a devoted wife to her loving husband Ken Morrison for 68 years. She was a beloved mother to Joel (Thelma), Grant, Monica Rooney (Carl), Kenneth, Marcel and Melody Dover (Rob). She was a cherished mother-in-law to Holly Paynter (Morrison) and a proud grandmother to Adam, Jason, Connor, Nathan, James, Wyatt, Shane, Geena, Rebecca and William. She will be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Sister-in-law of Marion, Anne, Norma, Mary and John.

Lorraine was the last surviving member of her family of eleven. She was predeceased by her parents Frances and Wendelin Morrissey, son Steven, daughter Melanie and siblings Florence, Walter, Zita, Ursula, Orwell, Myron, Cyril, Claire, Pauline and Leona. 

Mom was a huge fan of the Queen and the Royal Family and liked to follow what they were doing. Mom was first a teacher and was very involved in the education of her children. She participated in the daily lives of her children until her death.

Lorraine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford from where a private funeral service will be held. Interment later in St. Eugene's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Covehead. No visitation by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Provincial Palliative Care Centre or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
