My first memory of Paul is a Christmas Day in the early 60's before Helen and Paul got married. I would have been 6 or 7. Helen and Paul had been out on Christmas Eve and got caught in a snow storm. Paul couldn't make it home to Fort Augustus so he spent the night at our place in the "boys' room". I got a toy phone for Christmas that year and was on it all morning. When Paul got up, someone asked him how he slept and he replied, "Good, except for 'hang up you rubberneck' " which is what I had been saying on the phone all morning. To those of you who don't know who or what a rubberneck is, it is a person who listens in on other people's conversations on a telephone party line - which is all we had back in the early 60's. Paul got a laugh out of "hang up you rubberneck". I always loved Paul's laugh. Funny the things you remember.
