My deepest condolences to Doris's family. Doris was a wonderful neighbor to my husband and I in Belfast. She frequently brought us baking, and I often stopped to chat with her as she worked in her gardens. My favorite memory of her is during one particularly bad snow storm when my husband was working away. Visibility was poor and I couldn't even see Doris's house at the end of our long driveway. I heard a knock on the door and there was Doris! She'd slogged all the way up our driveway because she wanted to see how I was doing!
