Obituary of Heinz Ludwig Bungert

Peacefully at the Dr. John M Gillis Memorial Lodge, Belfast on Monday, October 31, 2022 the death occurred of Heinz Ludwig Bungert, age 90 years.  

Loving father of Anneliese and Mark and son-in-law Bruce Dean.  Cherished grandfather of Catie and Rebecca and uncle of Henny, Andrée, Joachim, Alison and Heather.  Heinz will be missed by his long time friend Barry MacTavish and friends and family in British Columbia, PEI, France and Germany.  Predeceased by his daughter Caroline Dean, sisters Henny Bock and Lucie Mueller. 

Heinz worked as a glass blower for neon sign companies as a young man in Germany.  After emigrating to Canada, he started his own company creating and repairing neon signs, along with producing glass wine-making equipment.  He also worked as a welder at times. Heinz loved gardening and was passionate about electronics, especially computers and radios of all kinds. 

By personal request, no funeral service or visitation will be held.
