Obituary of Lucille Catherine Heckbert

The death occurred suddenly at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, October 17, 2022 of Lucille Catherine Heckbert (Roche) of Stratford, age 86 years, after a long life lived on her own terms. Proud mother of John (Lisa), Mike (Mary), Mary Lu Hicks (Bruce), Ken (Alison Ann), Jeff (Stuart), Lori Anne Heckbert, Stephen (Julie) and daughters-in-law Cheryl and Susan. Grandmother of 19 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren. Sister of Margaret Cannon, Anita Daley and Adelbert (Bernadette). Sister-in-law of Clara Sherry, George, Charlie, Millie Wheaton, Gladys Hustler, James, Helen Sherry and Lorraine Roche. Lucille is also survived by a wonderful network of supportive friends. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Emma Roche, her beloved husband John and her brothers and sisters Mary Ellen, Fr. Edmund, Mary Kelly, Emmett, Louis, Ivan, Fr. Clarence, Sr. Teresa and Charles,and daughter-in-law Karin. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. No visitation or funeral service by personal request. Interment in St. Michael’s Church Cemetery, Iona. Memorial donations may be made online to the IWK.
