Obituary of James Bernard McCluskey

Peacefully and surrounded by his family James “Jim” Bernard McCluskey passed away at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the age of 74 years. Devoted husband of 55 years to Janet (Boudreault). Beloved father of Karen McCluskey (Rod Doucet), Colleen McCluskey-Douse (Vic) and Terry McCluskey (Lesley MacFadyen). Proud grandfather of Ashley McCluskey-Douse, Jewel Douse, Ethan Doucet and Noah Doucet. James was a retired Army Reserve Captain with 44 plus years of service with the Prince Edward Island Regiment. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Teresa McCluskey. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Dunstan’s Basilica on Thursday at 10 am. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4-6 pm from Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. Memorial donations may be made online to the PEI Cancer Treatment Center of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
