Obituary of John Victor McGuirk

Surrounded by his family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, July 9, 2022 John Victor McGuirk passed away peacefully. Beloved husband of Florence (Walker). Dear father of Sandra Smith and Cheryl McGuirk (Trent Jay). Grandfather of Jordan McGuirk (Taylor) and Kelsey Smith (Kent Giddings). Great-grandfather of Ella. Brother of Gordon McGuirk (Mary) and Shirley McManus. Brother-in-law of Rita McGuirk and Mary McGuirk (Clifford) . Predeceased by his parents Henry and Stella (Kneebone) McGuirk; his brothers Gerald, Clifford, Ralph, Elmer, Eric, Ivan and sisters Doris, Tena, Isabel, Bertha, Pearl, Eileen, Gladys and Rosemary. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford from where a public visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 am from Holy Redeemer Parish Charlottetown. Interment in Mt. Ryan Cemetery, Johnstons River. Memorial donations may be made online to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
