Obituary of Ernie Prosper

Ernest “Ernie” James Stanford Prosper passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of Winnie O’Leary. Dear father of Vincent, Tracy Lea (Trevor), Julie O’Leary, Aaron (Mandy) and Sandy (Lisa). Grandfather of Devin, Emma, Lily, Jillian, Connor (Angela), Jordan, Regan, Carter, Chloe, Tristin and Taylor.  Brother of Anna Pettitt, Bill Prosper (Kay) and Joanne Arthur (Jitter Coyle). Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Wilfred Prosper (Hilda), Vincent Prosper, Myrtle McGuigan, Elsie “Yea” MacDonald (Peter), Frances Power (Hughie), Veronica “Vonnie” Chaisson (Leo) and Julie Hennessey (William “Willis”).  Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford from where a public visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 am from St. James Church, Georgetown. Interment in St. James Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made online to the Provincial Palliative Care Centre.
