Obituary of Bertha M Cheverie

The death occurred peacefully at the Prince Edward Home on Monday, February 7, 2022 of Bertha Cheverie (Gallant), formerly of Souris, aged 93 years.

Beloved wife of the late Omar Cheverie. Loving mother of Debbie Cheverie, Randy Cheverie (Jeanette MacAulay),Vonda Laffin (Michael), and son-in-law Barrie Bellefontaine.  Grandmother of Danielle Cheverie (Nick Nauta), Madelon Cheverie (Paul Trainor), Ian Cheverie, Craig Bellefontaine (Celyeste Power), Kristin Bellefontaine, Maia and Breanna Laffin.  Great grandmother of Lillian, Ellis and Nora Trainor and Briar Nauta.  Survived by sister Elsie Pineau (Aubin), brother-in-law Donald DeRoche and by numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by daughter Dale Bellefontaine, sister Eileen DeRoche, brothers Leo, Chris, Elmer and Peter Gallant and sister-in-law Louise Gallant.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford for private family visitation only. 

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratford. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
