Dear Marlene and Avery,
There is nothing I can say about your heartbreak except I am sorry you are experiencing it. I know what a blessing you were to your granddaughter--supporting, nurturing and loving her---throughout her life. The many wonderful memories you created together makes having to say good-bye all the harder, but in the days ahead, may those memories fill you with pride in Lexie's accomplishments, and console you with warm feelings of what it meant to have her in your family.
After the clouds, the sunshine, After the winter the spring,
After the shower, the rainbow---for life is a changeable thing.
After the night, the morning, bidding all darkness cease,
After life's care and sorrows, the comfort and sweetness of peace.
Helen Steiner Rice.
Deepest sympathy, Heartfelt hugs,
Peggy.

Dear family of Alexis: We extend our sincere and heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your dear precious Alexis. Psalm 147:3 "He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds". It is God, in the person of Christ, who is waiting now, to meet you in your sorrow and heal it by the loving touch of His nail-pierced hands. It is in the hour of our deepest sorrow that we discover the gracious and sustaining ministry of our Savior. Some things about the Lord Jesus Christ can never be discovered in the light. Some of the sweetest and most precious realities of the Savior are to be found only in the shadows. In our experience of sorrow, we may feel that God is far away and that He has no time to hear our uncontrollable sobs as we turn our tearstained faces to Him, begging for some relief for our aching hearts. God is never so busy that he does not have time to sit with us at the bedside of a loved one fast slipping away, or attend the graveside with us or return to our homes and walk with us in all our ways, drying our tears and healing our hurts. Rest in peace, sweet Alexis.

My sincere condolences to you all. Alexis was such a sweet soul and will be remembered fondly for our quiet little chats and her love of my puppy who would greet her at the door whenever she was coming and going! I’m sure he made her late for work on a couple of occasions as she never rushed her puppy pets. Her presence most certainly will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to you all.
