May he Rest In Peace with his precious Coleen.

Greg, Ann Marie, and all the Duffy family----I am thinking of you and sending my deepest sympathy to you on Gerard's passing.
I used to see him when he was at Andrews of Charlottetown. After music I would always say hello to him and remind him I was formerly a Burhoe from Mount Herbert---Arnold's daughter. He'd smile and we'd have a little chat about things---the weather, music, just odds and ends of anything! A pleasant, gentle man to interact with.
Judging by the beautiful slide show, he was the center of your family gatherings, and as such will be greatly missed.
With sadness for your loss,
Peggy MacKinnon

Dearest Duffy Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Gerard and Colleen and all of the Duffys welcomed us into their hearts and homes. We were so happy to see Gerard in the summer of 2018 and for our children to have an opportunity to meet him. We know that his presence will be greatly missed but his example of kindness and his welcoming nature will always live on in our hearts.

Our sincere sympathy to Greg, Brian, Mary Beth, Brendon, Anne Marie and all their families on the passing of uncle Gerard. I have many memories of Gerard working on the farm "over home"; digging & picking potatoes and then grading grading potatoes in the basement during school storm days. He was always willing to offer me rides on the horses and tractor. Gerard was my tractor driving trainer as I began to get my "wheels". He was always interested in what was happening in the community and what the younger generation was up to.
You will surely miss him but have wonderful memories to comfort you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Duffy family. Gerard was definitely one of my "fun" uncles. When we were kids, and went down to PEI for the summer, he and Colleen opened up their home to us and made us feel welcome. Somehow he made farming chores seem like a fun thing to do for us city slickers. He was the type of guy who would let us play in the gym while he worked in the school. He will be missed, but remembered fondly.

Our sincere condolences to Gregory, Brian, Mary Beth, Brendon and Anne Marie and their families. I have many good memories of playing "over home" with Gerard in the background ensuring everything was safe. There were also a lot of fun times doing chores such as picking potatoes, thrashing, putting in hay, etc. as well as playing ball on Mom and Grampy's front lawn. We also went to a number of stockcar races and baseball games. Gerard loved his sports and even more so if his kids or grandkids were playing in them. Right now is a time of sorrow but take comfort in knowing he is now pain free, alert and happy to be back with Colleen and other family members!
