Obituary of Joe Drane

The death occurred peacefully, with his family by his side, on Thursday, September 16, 2021 of Joseph “Joe” Daniel Drane at the Provincial Palliative Care, Charlottetown.

Beloved husband of 45 years to Rita Drane (Whalen); loving father of Krista (AJ MacSwain), Joey (Blage), Stephen (Megan) and Angela McDermott (Laura) and adoring grampie of Jack, Isaac and Gemma Drane and Raye McDermott.  Joe will be missed by all his brothers and sisters-in-law in the Whalen family, numerous nieces, nephews and friends he made throughout his pilgrimages to Sainte- Anne-de Beaupre, Cap-de-la-Madeleine and through his work with the Knights of Columbus. Predeceased by his loving parents Joseph and Mary Ellen (Coughlin) Drane.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford.  Due to current restrictions, a private visitation and funeral service will be held. 

Interment will take place at St. Joachim’s Parish Cemetery, Vernon River.
