Obituary of Blaine Hackett
Blaine N. Hackett died suddenly at his residence in Mount Albion on Friday, May 28, 2021, at the age of 57 years.
Dear brother of Sterling, Eddy (Connie), Ruth Hackett, Donnie (Lorrie) and Darlene Hackett (Michael Roy). Uncle of Richard Hackett (Janet), Nicole Hackett (John Earl Knox) and Lori Anne MacPhee (Lowell). Blaine is also survived by great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by his parents Sterling and Mary (MacKenzie) Hackett.
Blaine will be dearly missed by his 5 older siblings. Blaine was, and always will be, the baby of our family. While Blaine was quiet and unassuming, he was also a good natured and kind person especially to his sister Ruth who he had lived with his entire life. He loved the farm where he was raised and was very proud to establish his own home just yards away from Ruth. Blaine loved everything Elvis, animals (especially cats) and spending time with family during summer visits. He missed our mother greatly and often wished he could talk to her even if it was for just a brief time. He will now be by her side for eternity and it gives us great comfort to know that they will be together again and have long, loving conversations. So don’t think of him as gone away as “his journey’s just begun - for life holds so many facets, this earth is only one”.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. Due to current restrictions, a private family visitation and funeral service will be held. Interment will take place at St. Andrew’s United Church Cemetery, Vernon Bridge.
