Dear Joan and family of Bill,
How sad I was to learn of Bill’s passing but I was happy that he had such a long and very active life. My association with Bill was in all the recordings he did for the UPEI Music Department, some of my own personal recordings, and transcribing many of my tapes to CDs. Bill was such a generous man with his time and he was always so prompt in completing work for us. A real gentleman who, I am sure, will be very much missed. May he rest in peace.

I was so saddened to read of Bill’s passing this morning. Remembering back to knowing Bill through Joan as we were Elementary School Teachers together and even had the honour of singing at their wedding! He was very instrumental doing sound for Park Royal Church and I have a couple of CDS’ he recorded of me that I will always cherish along with his friendship. God Bless Bill.

I can't think of JW without thinking of the planes. A great pilot, lots of good times were had on those trips when I was young. He taught me a lot back then, maybe most important, to be curious. That pin that was always on his suit lapel -- he said it was there to make little girls ask questions, something he always had time for. To this day I'm sure that was true. So thanks for that Dad, I think the courage I've found here and there in life to reach beyond a comfort zone came from you.

Bill Woods was my Uncle. I have some fond memories of him and although you may think of him as a reserved man, he had quite a sense of humor & wit at times. I recall long ago one time when I was in his plane and he turned the key off and said the plane stalled ! I was young and impressionable at the time ,he was such a tease. Uncle Bill was a very smart man and he certainly had a long life and I am thankful that he did not suffer long. I will miss our conversations & e mails . He can join his sister now may he rest in peace. Carol Ann White
