Obituary of Michael Everett Callaghan

The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 of Mike Callaghan of Sherwood, age 77 years.

Beloved husband of Margaret (Godkin) and dear father to Mike (Allison) and Lynn (Chris MacPhee). Cherished grandfather of six grandchildren he loved so much and was so proud of; Kate, Scott, Marin, Peter, Drew, and Jorgia.

Mike came from a large family of seven brothers and sisters, Mary Lou Richard, Patrick (Nancy), Philip, Bill (Marg), JoeAnne, Peter (Ann), that will miss his cheerful smile and brotherly love. His parents Benedict and Ruth (Toombs) predeceased Mike.  Numerous brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law on the Godkin side of the family, will miss Mike sincerely.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford.  Due to current restrictions, a graveside service and celebration of life will occur later in the summer.

Memorial donations may be made in Mike’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of PEI, Multiple Myeloma Canada, or the charity of your choice.
