Obituary of Kenneth Charles Murphy

Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, on Friday, July 27, 2018, the death occurred of Kenneth Charles Murphy, of Orwell, PE, age 83 years. Beloved husband of Anna Murphy (nee MacEachern-Lacey). Loving father of Kathleen Murphy (Byron Hutchings), Michael Murphy (Suzanne Campbell), Colleen Murphy (Bobby MacKay); Step-daughters - Cindy Costain (Blois), Linda Warren (Tony), Cathy Lacey and Sharon Lacey. Cherished grandfather of Laura and Steven Lannigan, Sarah and Aaron Goulding, Kyle Murphy, Keridwen Campbell, Shamus Murphy and Finley Campbell. Kenneth will be missed by brothers - Maurice Murphy (Anna - deceased), Tommy Murphy (Lorna - Deceased); sisters - Helen Phalen (Eddie - deceased), Lynda Murphy and Valerie Ward (Bobby-deceased). He was predeceased by his 1st Wife - Brenda Murphy (nee Nickerson); 2nd wife - Velma Murphy (nee Gillis); parents - Charles and Edna (nee Fraser) Murphy; sisters - Joan MacDonald, Jean Heppler and Mary Elizabeth Campbell. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Royal Canadian Legion, Eldon, Branch # 7 will hold a prayer service Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, July 30, 2018 at St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Joachim’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Provincial Palliative Care would be appreciated. Completion of funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
