Obituary of Joan Cecilia Power

Passed peacefully surrounded by family at Atlantic Baptist Home on Sunday, September 25, 2016 of Joan Power of Charlottetown, age 84 years. Beloved wife of Rev. George Power and loving mother of Brenda Bullerwell (Dr. Scott), John Power (Linda), Margaret MacKenzie (Wendell). Joan will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren - Nicole Pedersen (Chuck), Dustin Bullerwell, Jody Power (Kathryn), Jeremy Power, Daniel MacKenzie (Alexa) and Melissa MacKenzie; great-grandchildren - Taylor and Nicholas Pedersen, Evan, Julia and Karissa Power and Isabella Power; sisters-in-law Mabel Meade and Lauretta Power and family friend Clarice Power. She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Alice (nee Deveraux) Gray and brother Victor Gray. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home. There will be no visitation as per request. Celebration of life service will be held at the Calvary Church, Charlottetown on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2 PM followed by a reception. Interment will take place prior to the service at the Sherwood Cemetery at 12 PM. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Haiti’s Children’s Fund would be appreciated.
