Obituary of Anna Marie Murphy

Peacefully at her home in Orwell on April 6, Anna Marie Murphy, 74 (nee MacMillan, formerly from Dartmouth, NS) passed away surrounded by the love and support of her family. Anna will be missed by her loving husband of 51 years Maurice, her dear daughters Lisa (Mike Newcombe), Mary Jean and Shannon (Cory Carver). Adored AnnaNana to grandchildren Lauren and Johnny. Big mama to her furkids Saucey and Jesse. Anna is also survived by her beloved brother Eric "Winky" MacMillan (Sally), close cousin Norma Welch and their families. Anna will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister in laws, neighbours, friends, her nurse buddies and her extended family in Nova Scotia. Anna was predeceased by her parents Fred and Marcella Publicover, as well as her mother and father in law Charles and Edna Murphy. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, April 11, 2016 at St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at St. Joachim’s Cemetery. The CWL will hold a prayer service prior to visitation at 6:30 PM. If so desired, memorial contributions can be made to the PEI Humane Society. "Always find a reason to laugh.
