Obituary of Leonard Joseph LeClair

Passed peacefully Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Prince Edward Home of Leonard LeClair, veteran of WW II, of Charlottetown, age 98 years. Beloved husband of the late Lucy LeClair (nee Gallant) and loving father of Karen Lavoie (Andre), Paula Dorsey (David), Shawn LeClair, Frances Lavoie (Paul), Lorne LeClair (Doreen), Norman LeClair (Cathy), Jeannine McQuaid (Eddie) and son-in-law Daryl Harding. Leonard will be lovingly remembered by numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Prosper and Julie LeClair, daughter, Julie Harding, granddaughter, Colette Lavoie; and siblings - Vincent, Reuben, Arthur, Cyrus, Clarence, Alice, Ferdie, Zilda, Eugene, Francis and Eric. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Friday, February 26, 2016 from 4 - 7 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer at 10 AM. Interment will take place at the Stella Maris Cemetery, North Rustico. The Royal Canadian Legion, Charlottetown Branch #1 will hold a tribute service prior to visiting hours at 3:45 PM. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated. Completion of funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home.
