Obituary of Cheryl Ann Doherty

Peacefully and surrounded by the love of her family at the Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague on Sunday, December 8, 2024 the death occurred of Cheryl Ann Doherty (Byrne), after a lengthy journey with cancer, of Vernon Bridge, age 57 years.  

Beloved wife of Mike Doherty.  Loving mother of Evan, Amanda Ferrish (Billy) and Travis MacDonald (Ashley). Cherished grandmother of Andrew and Jackson Ferrish; Kailee, Presley and Paisley MacDonald. Cheryl will be missed by siblings Kevin, Shawn (Bonita) and Darlene Byrne.  Special daughter-in-law of Vernon Doherty (Rose, deceased) and sister-in-law of Margaret Byrne. Predeceased by her parents Louis and Mae (Bailey) Byrne and Mary Theresa, in infancy, Ann, Leonard and Robert.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where a private visitation will be held by personal request. A public Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River. All are welcome to attend.  Interment will take place at the parish cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made online to the Cancer Treatment Centre of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
