The conversations we had during eye exams were always insightful and humorous, and that goes for the whole family! He will certainly be missed. We were very saddened to learn of Allison’s sudden passing.
Always a joyful man, Allison was ever prepared to share a smile and a good hearty laugh. Living next door for many years, we would often hear “howdy neighbour” followed by lots of smiles and humour from a genuinely kind-hearted man.
We know that he will be dearly missed, and our hearts are with his family. Till we meet again my friend.

It is a very sad day to hear of Allison’s passing. I have known Allison since 2003 when I moved to Halifax with the Canadian Fuels Association. Allison was a true gentleman, always willing to chat and share stories. I once asked Allison where were the best spots to visit in PEI and of course he said North Rustico. And he was right! We have visited the place he loved many times and will continue to visit and reminisce about the loving way he spoke of his hometown. I wish all good memories for his family…knowing Allison will be well remembered for his sincerity and integrity in business and as a friend.

Nora and family - Kyra and I pass along our sincere condolences. Like others have noted, this was a shock to receive this news. I have many fond memories of Allison from mowing your lawn as a kid in the Gates subdivision (and over in Sherwood too I'm recalling) to watching Allison care for his cars as much, or perhaps more, than I do. :o) I met Allison just a few weeks ago in Canadian Tire - in the car cleaning section of course - where we were briefly able to catch up. Allison's cheerful demeanor and warmth with everyone was always something to be appreciated and emulated. Like Allison, I rest assured in this life that the separation is only temporary and we'll meet again in heaven! May God's comfort be with you all during these challenging days.

So very sorry to learn of Allison's passing. I met him as part of the Canadian Automobile Insurance Rate Regulators (CARR) many years ago. Every time you met him despite having been months or years, you felt as if you just saw him yesterday. A man of infinite jest, who was quick with story or joke to make you smile. His light is gone too soon. Offering my condolences to his family, who he cherished, as well as to his many many friends.

I’m so sorry to hear of Allison’s passing. I have had the pleasure of knowing him for more than 20 years. He was a wonderful person whose company I always enjoyed. Very early on I discovered his passion for ships, especially when he discovered that I was from Newfoundland and had worked with Marine Atlantic. Regardless of the original meeting topics, our conversations always ended with a little talk on the ferries, especially the North Sydney to Newfoundland boats. He certainly had a soft spot for Newfoundland. I will also always remember his great humour. Sincere condolences to his family and his many friends.

My condolences. A joy to know, to work with and spend time with. Never a dull moment. His detailed knowledge of every ferry that ever served PEI and NL was amazing and reflected his love of the water. He seemed to manage to work North Rustico into every conversation. The very definition of proud parent, I know there are many great memories for comfort.

It is with profound sadness that my wife and I send our deep sympathy and condolence to Allison's family; his wife and lovely daughters to whom he was very devoted. Working as the cleaning staff at Island Regulatory and Appeals commision where Allison worked, it was always a pleasure to encounter him from time to time. He was an incredibly kind man, and of course his sense of humor was legendary among all who new him. He was always eager to share a joke or a funny story that he just learned of.
I look forward to seeing you again Allison. With love and affection: Jim and Norma Corbett.
