Deepest sympathies to all of Freena's family (especially her Granddaughter Kaitlyn, whom she adored). It seems that Freena has been in and out of my life since our first meeting at Notre Dame Academy. Since those early school days our paths crossed numerous times when we worked in the same location, or shared our experiences battling breast cancer. She never lost her love of life, her kindness and compassion, her lovely smile and wonderful sense of humour, her willingness to volunteer and help others, her love of adventure and travel. I am so happy Freena that you took advantage of every opportunity to explore a new country and meet new people. You will be missed by many. RIP Freena. Jeannie (MacDonald) Pitts

To hear of Freena’s passing is shocking to say the least. I was thinking just the other day of when I ran in to Freena and Jen on the way to a Flames game. Freena was glowing to spend the night out at the Flames game. Her love of travel and family will leave so many impacted. So sorry to hear of the loss to Frank and Jen.

So very sad to hear of the sudden passing of Freena. We were friends from early years in elementary school ,and remained friends all through the years. She had a heart of gold and had a beautiful smile. We shared many great times at bingo over the years. My sincere condolences to her family. Freena was a lovely lady and a wonderful support to the QEH. She will be deeply missed.
