There's just too many good memories, the coffee houses beanz upstairs. First thing in the morning at the Gray, One morning he nodded to me and simply said through tired eyes . ASMUHFAH. We both laughed, No explanation was given but we both understood it meant tired trials of teenage life and every morning or meeting we said it to each other. Forever in my heart Asmuhfah

I'm so deeply sorry to hear of Jonny's passing. I will always cherish the memories of our coffee dates, hanging out for hours while talking about video games (especially Fallout!) and cuddling with his kitty. He was the most upbeat person despite being handed a tough battle to deal with for so much of his life. He continued to be positive and supportive of his friends despite having so much on his plate and always looked out for his friends. Our lives are richer having known him, and I and so many others will greatly miss his energy. I hope you are at peace now, buddy.

Dear Paul and Mary,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Jonathan's passing. It pains us that we are not able to be with you in person during this time.
As good friends with some of our children, memories of Jonathan bring back vivid images of a kind and joyous young man, who always observed the needs of those around him. He was always pleasant, courteous and upbeat anytime we saw him. Even as a teenager, Jonathan seemed to have an awareness - often beyond his years - of the best thing to do or to say in any situation. He easily made quality conversation with everyone. It's little wonder he was so well liked and trusted as a genuine friend by his peers. We'll never forget Jonathan's kind and gentle ways, his smile, his lightheartedness and the sparkle that danced in his eyes when he was joking.
Paul, as Jonathan's Father, we saw the love, affection, many interests and talents that you both shared. We send you our heartfelt condolences for the deep loss of such a wonderful son. We will be with you, Mary and Jonathan's entire family and his loved ones, in spirit and prayers during this time. We know that your faith and the love and support of the good people around you will help to sustain you.
We will always remember Jonathan as a bright-eyed, bright-spirited, kind, humble and thoughtful young man.
He was a truly gentle soul. May he rest in God's peace and love.
Andrew and Jean Louis, Ottawa

Dear Norma, Allan, and Forbes and VanderGaag families, I was very saddened to learn of Jon's passing and extend heartfelt sympathy in the huge loss of your dear son. Although I only met Jon a few times at the Palliative Care Center, it was obvious he was a gentle, quiet, brave and courageous young man gifted with many talents. May your family find peace and comfort in knowing that his days of suffering are now over. Rest in peace, Jon.
