Obituary of Gary Albert Jennings

The family of Gary Albert Jennings of Stratford PEI, sadly announce his passing in Unit 1 of the QEH in Charlottetown on Saturday March 16, 2024 at the age of 70.

 

Gary leaves to mourn his mother Florizel of Deer Lake NL, his wife of over 49 years, Mary (Power) as well as his two sons, Michael (Tawnya) and Colin (Della). He was the loving grandfather to Matthew Jennings (Elizabeth) and Bodie Dixon. Also survived by his siblings Darrel Jennings (Marilyn), Ted Jennings (Karen) and Sharon Jennings (Colin). Gary was predeceased by his father Allan Bond Jennings and his grandsons Coleman Jennings and Garrett Bond Jennings.

 

Gary was born and raised in Corner Brook Newfoundland where he loved fishing, hunting and enjoying everything the Newfoundland lifestyle had to offer. He moved with his young family to Prince Edward Island in 1986, where he worked as an electrician. After a decade in Labrador, he retired back to PEI in 2016 where he once again settled with Mary in Stratford.

 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home.  In keeping with Gary’s wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
