Auntie Janet had a great sense of humour and could hold a conversation with anyone. There would be a twinkle in her eye when she'd speak to you - like you were the only person in the room. I will not soon forget her big laugh. She could bake a mean chocolate chip cookie. Janet was kind hearted. She remembered everyone's birthdays and sent a birthday card to not only me, her niece, but my son every year. She loved living at Stanhope in her dream home with her late husband Bill and loved her cat Elvis. She lived a good life, ran restaurants with ease and loved her family. Time for her to be with God, the angels, Bill and David where they can all enjoy each others' company once again. Peace be with you Janet. Alana, Scott and Liam

Our sincere sympathies and condolences to the family of Janet . We were fortunate enough to connect with Janet 20yrs ago when we met her at By The Bay Cottages .A couple of years later we became her neighbours as we located to Old Sams Rd .Our connection grew from there as she welcomed us from away and helped us settle into our place over the next 5 years .She was always up for a visit and her laugh and beaming personality were so welcoming at all times . Thank you to all the folks at Centennial Baptist who continued to share the fruit explosion muffins i was able to bring to Janet . Janet is now reunited and sharing her laughter and joy with Bill .Thx for the memories Janet , rest in peace , xoxo Euan & Sue ( from away )

Janet sent birthday cards to her nieces and nephews every year. She also sent birthday cards to my son Liam with a dollar to represent every year in the envelope. Janet made excellent chocolate chip cookies, she loved her cat Elvis, she loved living in her dream home in Stanhope, was an amazing waitress and manager and had a laugh that would fill a room. Janet was a loving and kind person and this picture the family chose is beautiful. This is exactly how I will remember aunty Janet.
