Obituary of Catherine Aurelia Johnston

With gratitude for a life well lived, Gerald Johnston "Jay" and her Island family announce the death of Catherine A. Johnston at Kings County Memorial Hospital on Thursday December 28, 2023. Catherine was the last surving member of her family. She is predeceased by her parents John Michael Curran and Mary Jane Casey of Baldwin Rd. and the youngest sister of Sixtus (Mary), Marie (Art), Zeno, Earl and Emmette Curran. Catherine is also predeceased by her husband Gerald Johnston Sr. and also by her son John Michael. Left to mourn are her son Gerald "Jay" and her many nieces and nephews. Catherine was a true friend to many. A loving woman of integrity and hard work - her home on Eutaw Avenue, Lynn, Mass. was a welcome place to visit. Catherines family and friends will cherish her memory as a fun person to be around. Her smile lit up the room. May she rest in peace. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. No visitation or funeral service by personal request. A private interment will be held later at St. Cuthbert's Church Cemetery, St Teresa.
