Elmer and Shirley MacLure and families, I was somewhat caught off guard when I saw the paper's only obituary today, as my mind said to me, "that can't be your cousin's wife." I had a nice chat with Shirley following Mom's funeral fifteen months back, and it was good to see you as well. I offer sincere sympathy to you and sister Shirley and family. Elmer I am so sorry to hear Shirley passed. I worked with her at Home Hardware and treasured our time together she could run circles around all of us and she was a great friend. Shirley and I shared a love of flowers and she made me laugh everyday when we worked together.

Shirley loved flowers, and both her and Elmer had immaculate flower beds at their home in Cherry Valley. Later, when they moved to Greenway Heights, they continued to have beautiful flowers on their deck, as well.
