Obituary of Elizabeth Margaret Rose Ings

Peacefully surrounded by love on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the death occurred of Elizabeth Margaret Rose Ings (Murray) of Pownal, age 89 years.

 

Loving mother of Diana Joy Greer (Carson). Cherished grandmother of Catherine Greer and CaroleAnne Greer. Elizabeth will be missed by siblings Joy MacFarlane, John K. Murray (Clara), Valmond Murray (Melody), and Deborah Adams (Tom). Elizabeth will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and by her amazing friends Eleanor Meek, Eleanor MacMillan and Barb Carroll. Predeceased by her parents Willard and Elizabeth (Campbell) Murray; husband of 67 years to Barry Parker Ings; granddaughter Deborah Greer; brothers Maurice Murray (Lorna) and Douglas Murray (Dianne) and by her brother-in-law George MacFarlane.

 

Visiting hours will be held from the Hillsboro Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 12 noon until 2pm followed by a graveside service at Hazelbrook Cemetery at 4 pm.

 

Memorial donations may be made online to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the IWK.
