Obituary of Frances B. Tremere

The death occurred on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre of Frances B. Tremere (nee Sherren) of Charlottetown, and formally of Hampshire in her 92 nd year. Beloved wife of the late Wendell Tremere. Dear mother of Bennett (Jean), Gary (Brenda) and Susan Delima (John). Grandmother to Ryan (Tara), Shawn (Vanessa), Jamie (Dr. Tara McCarthy), Michelle Massiah (Spencer), Remy (Karan Gill) and Alicia Delima. Great-Grammie Fran to Ava, Willow Arlo;  Brielle and Taiten Tremere; Ivy and Rosa Massiah and Milen Gill. Survived by sisters Ethel Thompson (Walter dec.), Laura Bolger (Eugene dec.), Bonita Bevins (Bob dec.), and her brother Alfred (Ruth dec.). Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her parents, Lester and Ethel (Chappell), and her family and in-laws, Roland, David (Jean), Foster (Myrna), Helen Smith (Ron), Reta Spence (Trevor), and Eleanor Mitchell (Murray).  She was also predeceased by her in-laws Ora Baglole (Addie), Fern Holmes (Calvin), Gerda McMonagle (Pat McMonagle and Al Jewell), and Arnold Tremere (Inez). Resting at the Hillsboro Funeral Home from where the visitation will be held Wednesday May 7 from 4-7 pm. Funeral service will be held from Park Royal United Church on Thursday May 8 at 2 pm. followed by a reception with interment later in Hampshire Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made online to the Cancer Clinic of the QEH, Hampshire Cemetery or the Provincial Palliative Care Centre.
